nothing, if possible avoid this hotel

this hotel should be a 2* hotel and not more.

    Fabulous

The saltwater pool, the convenience of the restaurant, the rustic buildings.

The hotel is very difficult to find, there being a number of different Meletos in the area. Hotel staff will tell you it is essential that you have GPS to find it, but the address on the website gets recognized, at least by Google Maps, on only a fraction of searches. The site should give a GPS address that works, which staff there will do for you. The main comment quoted on the site - about staff being helpful despite arrival after midnight - is true, but misleading, because the office closes at 10:00 p.m., and it's an imposition on staff and stressful on guests to suggest otherwise.

    Fabulous

Ambience - friendly and helpful staff

Food was good but the menu was the same for lunch and dinner - the experience was let down by simple things - no tissues in the room, horrid soap - if such things were rectified them they would deserve their fourth star.

    Very good

    Beautiful Location. Nice rooms.

Extreme restrictions on what you can and cannot do on the property. For example, not allowed to have a picnic on particular tables and being told to leave as they were for "paying restaurant customers only". This despite the restaurant not being open and the tables located nowhere near the restaurant. Overall we found the staff rude and unaccommodating. There are so many other place in the area to choose from so why be treated like that?

    Superb

We received a warm welcome, even though we arrived after mid night. Although the villa was quite busy because of the long easter weekend, it still felt relaxed and peaceful. We really enjoyed the lovely view out over the lake and country side.

The Villa is in the country side, so you will need a car. The breakfast was good and the staff very helpfull and freindly. The evening restaurant was very average, we only eat there once.

Staff is friendly, it's very nice to stay in countryside.

    It's not easy to find.

    The complex was quite peaceful

The damp rooms, the setting, the complex is inserted in a very ugly area with two imposing power station towers that completely spoil the view and no shops or facilities in the vicinity. The pool is small, the breakfast is poor and the restaurant offers the same four courses 'à la carte menu' for a whole week, but some of the dishes are not available so the choice is very restricted and not varied. The apartment was very damp, the cupboard was full of mould and the kitchen equipment was very poor. Inside the 2 bedroom apartment we stayed there was no sofa and a ridiculously tiny television.

    Good

Very secluded and quiet. Lovely pool and great food.

It is a bit difficult to find and somewhat remote from any main tourist center. If you want to leave early make sure you know how t operate the main gate as it was closed before 8am. Though a beautiful place it is also right next to a power plant which detracts from the ambience though its not visible from the hotel.

    Good

    Room, bed, parking

Staff is not speaking English at all, even they don't understand anything. It was the first time in my life.

  • 7.4
    Very good

The owner and staff were nice, however our room was awful. No lights and very small. We feel like we were in a cave. Also it is far away from a1 so it took a long time to go anywhere. There is also no night life because it is so far away from any towns.

    Fabulous

The environment, peace and quiet and general ambience are very special. There are several buildings, all tastefully decorated, and these add to this atmosphere as do the courtyards between them.

  • 7.0
    Very good

    Beautiful setting, typically Tuscan.

No service around the pool. Big wedding on the Saturday meant no service for hotel guests, smaller wedding on the Sunday meant lots of noise, spoilt our expected relaxation by the pool. Weddings are held throughout the summer you are not informed of this when booking.

    Good

Very attractive setting and house very well restored to a high standard. Great gardens and pool was attractive. Quiet. Good breakfast and waiting staff very good indeed.

We went for B&B but hotel has a restaurant and as Meleto has no real alternatives, we ended by having evening meals as well. No complaints about food, but menu never changes - not even daily specials. No menu for children and only a minority of the tables were ever taken up. This seems to be a waste as hotel was quite full. There were many aggressive small flies and no mesh on windows to keep them out which meant closing windows so rooms without aircon were very hot.

    Fabulous

The whole complex is beautiful, there is a lots of outside space where you can spend your time. It is very quiet. Swimming pool is small but will refresh you after a hot day. The views from the property are great (there is industrial complex near by, but you can't see it, hear it or smell it). There is a restaurant also but with limited choice. We had a dinner twice and both time everything was tasty, with mid-range prices. Breakfast was quite good, continental. Our room had a really nice feeling, although the furniture and the carpets are a bit worn off.

There is no bar serving drinks for the whole day, only around meal times. Also. there is a lot mosquitoes/bees/wasps and other biting insects, so if you're allergic or just can't stand those this is not a place for you.
